Dress Code for Parade

Uniform dress is required. Teams must parade in their club jerseys and shorts or in their club tracksuits, but not in a combination of both. (i.e. two in tracksuits & three in jerseys/shorts). Each team should have a club banner, which should be carried on two poles by two club officials – neatly and suitably attired.  Club officials (other than the above) who wish to walk in the parade may join in only at the end of the handball

section.

 

Competition Rules

1.  Each club of five players in two pairs.

 

2.  Team, in order of play, to be supplied to the referee before each match. (The order of                  play may be changed for second or subsequent matches. The sub may be used)

 

3.   Each pair to play one game to 21 aces with points for each win. The first serve is decided on the toss of a coin. The team, receiving serve in the first game, will have the first serve in the second game.

 

4.  When two or more teams in a group tie on points, the placings are decided on total aggregate aces.  Where aggregate aces are equal, a play-off to 11aces between ant pair from each side will decide the placings.

 

5.  In the case of a tie in any semi-final or final, a play off to 11 aces between any pair from each side will decide the placings. First serve to be decided on the toss of a coin.

 

6.  In the case of a tie in the Skills Competition, each player will select his or her favourite skill for the tiebreak.

 

7.  Full playing rules apply in all games.

 

8.  Team to wear club colours in all matches unless requested to change when colours

      clash.

 

Disciplinary Procedures For Handball

Disciplinary issues shall be dealt with by the Féile Official in the local courts.

Objections must be lodged with the Chairperson of the Handball Sub-Committee of the Coiste Féile Áitiúla within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the game in question.

The objection shall be heard by the Handball Representative on the Coiste Féile Áitiúla plus the Secretary and Treasurer on the Handball –Committee of the Coiste Féile Áitiúla.

An appeal must be lodged with the Chairperson of the Handball Sub-Committee of the

Coiste Féile Áitiúla within 15 minutes of receipt of the result of the objection. An Appeal shall be heard by a committee, comprising a minimum of two people, appointed by Comhairle Liathróid Laimhe na hÉireann.
